Gunnel Linde was born October 14, 1924, in Stockholm, Sweden. As a child she wrote books for her teddy bears, her cousins, and for herself. She attended Anders Beckmans Reklamskola in Stockholm from 1943-1944, and Stockholms Kontskola in 1953. She began her career as a journalist in 1945.
